Every Class and Clinic follows a framework that is multi-faceted: technique, volume, and situational.  The Just Hoops Coaching Staff deliberately plans every detail of their session to ensure maximum improvement for every athlete.  Players will learn the game, develop skills, and have fun on the court!

Saturday Skills with Drew Slone (6th-8th)

Class Description:

Join Coach Drew Slone for fast paced workouts on Saturday mornings in December. Players will get a high volume of reps at game speed focusing on:

  • Ball-Handling
  • Finishing
  • Shooting

2-Day In-Season Skills Training

Clinic (3rd-6th)

Clinic Description:

Work on essentials to keep you ready for your games this season: Ball Handling, Shooting Reps, Reading the Defense, Decision Making, and more. This in-season clinic will include instruction through drills and live play competition. Make sure you are ready and confident when your moment arises in the games.

2-Day Attack + Finish Clinic (4th-8th)

Clinic Description:

The 2-Day Attack & Finish Clinic for 4th-8th Grade athletes will teach players how to get past their primary defender, protect the basketball and finish at the rim. Players will learn solutions on how to finish off straight-line drives, vs secondary defenders, & when the defense cuts them off in the paint. Come to learn and compete!

Clinic Description:

Work with Coach Drew Slone during the 1-on-1 Clinic on:

  • Becoming a better 1-on-1 player
  • Change of speed/Change of direction moves
  • Attacking closeouts
  • Individual moves

3 on 3 Clinic (4th-8th)

Clinic Description:

-1st hour = 3 on 0 break-downs which will instruct players on spacing, cutting, screening away from the basketball & how to get open on the perimeter.

-2nd hour = 3 on 3 Live Play with game constraints to challenge players to read how they are being defended to decide the best action to create an advantage.

-3rd hour = 3 on 3 Live Play with time + score situations to improve their decision making when they are up or down in a game.

2-Day Middle School In-Season Skills Training Clinic (6th-8th)

Junior Hoops Description:

This class is created for beginner players who want to have fun and learn essential skills. Work with our Just Hoops coaches in this 60-minute, 6-session class on fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting, lay-ups, & footwork. No long lines, just fun drills, and competitions to keep these young players learning and engaged.

Skills & Scrimmage (3rd-4th & 5th-6th)

SCRIMMAGE – segments will include offensive actions to allow players to better understand spacing, cutting, ball-screens, & off-ball screens. The goal is for players to improve their basketball IQ by learning offensive concepts that allow them to make quick decisions.

Boys Middle School Skills & Scrimmage (7th-8th)

The MLK Day Clinic will instruct players on how to play out of triple threat position, handling + passing the basketball, changing speeds + directions, & pivoting. Players will develop skills through stations, competitions, & live play scenarios.
